The OFN brings you a roundup of the week’s news relevant to Older Women.

At the recent Millman Street meeting on 11th February, it was decided that the OFN would attend the upcoming Million Women Rise March and the SOS NHS National Demonstration to show solidarity with these causes:

Saturday 4th March: A Million Women Rise Meet at 12.30 in Oxford Street,  at the corner of Selfridges and Duke Street. Look for women holding our OFN flags, and we’ll march together:

Saturday 11th March: SOS NHS National Demonstration for the Nurses Meet at midday in Tottenham Court Road, opposite Warren Street tube station. Again, look for the OFN flags.


Online Event: Child Gender Medicine: The Evidence – A Sex Matters Webinar

Sex Matters’ director of advocacy, Helen Joyce, talks to sociologist Michael Biggs and social-science researcher Matilda Gosling about current practice in child gender medicine, and the poor quality of the research it is based on.

  1. Interested in these actions apart from one. Unusually I won’t be going on the Stop the War demo calling for peace talks now. To me, that’s like telling Ukraine to give up fighting for their country. Whilst I am not calling for western imperialism to arm them I support the right of Ukranian people to get arms wherever they can. If Russia stops fighting the war is finished. If Ukraine stops fighting Ukraine is finished. Russian troops out of Ukraine!
