Railway Ticket Offices to Stay Open
Plans to close hundreds of rail ticket offices in England have been scrapped.
Transport Secretary Mark Harper said the government had asked train operators to withdraw their proposals because they failed to meet high passenger standards.

With 25% of women currently undecided, women’s votes will swing the next general election
A quarter of women are currently undecided on how they will vote at the next election compared to only 11% of men, according to polling conducted by YouGov for the Women’s Budget Group. The polling also found that women with caring responsibilities were more than twice as likely to name childcare or social care as one of their top three priorities than the average voter.

Sex and Gender
For Women Scotland has lost its appeal on the definition of ‘Woman’. ‘Transwomen’ who have a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) will be legally classed as Women and have the presumptive right to use services intended for the opposite sex.
